You Can Be a Hero from Home! Residential Program
Since 1972, The Point has helped thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their highest potential educationally, residentially, socially and vocationally. One of the first areas of our mission centered on providing individuals and families an alternative to institutional settings.
With this in mind, The Point began to purchase houses that would become homes.Today, our Residential program provides support for families through 14 homes and one respite home, and serves 43 adults. Three of our homes support medically fragile adults. COVID-19 has required us to make operating changes that have led to increased but necessary costs.
These changes have resulted in a significant reduction in exposure and the ability to provide 24/7 care. Now, more than ever, we are in need of your assistance thru monthly donations that will help ensure we can keep all essential programs running, maintain other programs through their temporary closure, and prepare to fully re-establish operations when restrictions are lifted.
Be A Hero From Home is our new monthly giving program that allows you to donate from a distance while staying close to your community. The spread of COVID-19 will slow us down, but we won’t let it stop us! We know we can provide quality care while keeping our community safe, but we need your help!
